CHICAGO, IL, March 23, 2009 - Crain's Chicago Business magazine has named the Allerton Hotel Magnificent Mile Chicago as one of Chicago's Best Hotels for Business.

The Allerton Hotel was featured in the March 23rd issue and corresponding website as one of Chicago's Best Hotels for Business, the first time Crain's has given such a distinction.

The hotel was given a top ranking based on surveys of business travelers as well as how popular it was with guests. The survey included choices from large hotel chains as well as independent and boutique hotels.

When measured against other Chicago hotels, the Allerton Hotel ranked high for its well-designed rooms and many features that are important to business travelers, such as Wi-Fi access, availability of meeting rooms and places to entertain clients, along with excellent value.

In a recent poll, ChicagoBusiness.com readers said that location of a hotel was the most important factor when booking. The Allerton Hotel is located on Chicago's Magnificent Mile in the heart of the city and is close to many businesses, shops, and attractions.

Among the Allerton's recent multi-million dollar renovations, of particular note for business travelers are the reappointed meeting spaces and ballrooms, the updated guestroom designs, and an expanded and newly-equipped fitness center.
